Prayer
The incense grabs my being
slows down my walk
a peak inside the door
the candle lit
to the woman
who holds the earth
in the palm of her hand.
The incense grabs my being
slows down my walk
a peak inside the door
the candle lit
to the woman
who holds the earth
in the palm of her hand.
The heavy breathing
Covers the sound
Of steps crunching
the white ground
Beauty speaking
Earthly bound
Swiftly flowing
On each mound
When Love cringes
At the words uttered
Or written in a text
In a message
Meant to put the finger
On the wound
On the slashed ripped skin
Of the heart
Can I peek at you
Through the branches
Of solitude?
Can time and space
Finally melt
Between us?
Can I be any different?
Can I be otherwise?
The call to stand
Stronger than life itself
To reach for the sun
True to its nature
Of growing erect
Even while embracing
Other limbs
Stand tall
Stand firm
And in your standing
Remember all that feed you
The infinite particles
Water, air and soil
Rich with what you need
Open up your life
Like petals
Gently revealing
Seeds of creation
Let the light in
Casting away
Shadows
And illusions
wish none of it is real
not the separation
nor the sickness
wish it is all a mistake
an error of timing
a lapse of mind
Well,
A herd of goats
Guarded
Guided
Taken care of
They jumped at the chance
Of rushing
To the road
Through an opening
As I waited patiently her arrival
Time seemed long and heavy
It felt like an unjust trial
To not know how to sit or be
The curtains shaded part of the room
The sun’s rays caressing softly
I could still smell her lingering perfume
Swirling around playfully
