Sweet Nothings

Sweet Nothings

Sweet nothings
At the reach of our hands
Frivolous abidings
We can barely withstand

Yet they are the most remembered
The ones we long for
As their images wither
From our daily lore

How the fleeting moment
Sings of eternity
If caught blatant
In its rich poverty

Everything fades
Leaving its eternal mark
In the wind of change
A kiss on our heart
